I think it is very important, during this time of warfare, to remember that at the heart of all religion is peace and understanding. War does not result from religion. Rather, warmongers have used religious "reasons" for war - but their reasons are almost always contrary to the religious teachings themselves.

Religion may be used by those who would make war, but religion does not cause war.
